The Department of Basic Medical Sciences conducted the Research Orientation Programme for Undergraduates (III-year BDS students) on 26-07-2024 at the Dental College Auditorium. The Principal, Dr. V. Bagavad Gita addressed the gathering with a welcome note. Elucidation of the basic workflow of a research process followed by the elaboration of the thrust areas of research with relevance to the field of dentistry was made clear by all the heads of the basic medical sciences and clinical departments. Information regarding the members of the Institutional Research Committee, Institutional Ethical Committee, availability of research facilities within the Institution and research funding agencies were sensitized.
