Drug awareness programme was conducted at Madha Dental College and Hospital, Kundrathur, Chennai-69 on 12.08.2024 {Monday} from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm organised by Department of Oral medicine and Radiology and Department of Public Health Dentistry. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Manigandan, Sub inspector of Police, T5- Kundrathur police station.
Awareness on the drug abuse, its causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms, its serious adverse effects, preventive measures and therapeutic strategies were addressed to BDS 1st year and 2nd year students by Mr. Manigandan, Sub inspector of Police and Dr. Kavitha. M, Professor, Department of Oral medicine and Radiology. Pledge against drug abuse were taken by all the participants. Pamphlets depicting drug awareness were distributed among the participants.
